The school is an increasingly popular choice within the local community and we are delighted to advertise this role due to an expansion within the school and a larger intake of students in September 2024.

We are looking for a qualified teacher with KS2/KS3 experience, who has a keen interest in supporting students who require additional support during an extended transition period upon joining secondary school.

Oaks Park High School is wholly committed to ensuring that all students have the right academic and social skills and knowledge to be able to access our full and varied curriculum, from their very first day in Year 7 and acknowledge that some students require additional, tailored, support in order to achieve this.

This position would be ideal for either a KS2 teacher who is looking to transition into a secondary school environment or a KS3 teacher with a passion for the transition stage. There is the possibility of a TLR for those that can, additionally, add extra expertise and leadership to the SEN function within the school.

Applications for those looking for part time hours are welcome, but please note that you would need to work a minimum number of hours each day to provide continutity for nurture groups.

The successful candidate will be:

You will be required to:

Inspire and support our students across the three Key StagesUse a range of assessment strategies to provide targeted and directed feedbackBe inspired by reading and researching new pedagogy on learning and teachingBe creative and reflective in the planning of lessons and schemes of worksHave the skills to form excellent working relationships with all individuals.
