Academics Ltd are currently working with fantastic SEN schools across Dunstable that provide for children between that have been diagnosed with wide ranging educational and social needs. The schools endeavour to ensure children reach their full potential, through high standards of education and training.

* £85 - £90 per day

* Fully supported throughout the role

This Dunstable school is supported by their highly specialist site, they offer their students a wide array of extracurricular activities, therapies, and personalised care in built for purpose spaces. There is a keen emphasis on matching the provision to the individual needs of each child, and the school takes pride in the great parent and pupil feedback on the quality of their care.

School Mental Health Assistant Requirements:

* Personal/Professional experience with children and/or young people is desirable but not essential

* A caring individual with energy, drive and enthusiasm.

* Ability to work as part of team, alongside teaching and support staff

* Willing to support a pupil with personal care where necessary.

* Able to use their initiative to support learning.

* Passion to support children and young people with special educational needs

What you'll need as a School Mental Health Assistant:

* Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to get one.

* Eligibility to work in the UK.

* Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification, at level 2 or above.

* Live Locally to Dunstable
