What you need to know about the role...
As an experienced and visionary Head of Digital Products, you will be responsible for leading the digital product strategy and, in collaboration with others, co-leading the development and management of all digital products and member enabling technology within The Gym Group. Your role involves defining the product vision, identifying market opportunities, and supporting the entire digital product lifecycle across our website supporting millions of transactions and our highly-rated innovative app.
Main job activities would include:
Product Strategy & Vision: Develop and communicate a clear product vision aligned with TGG's goals. Identify market trends and drive product innovation.
Product Development: Lead a team of product managers and collaborate with engineering, data, trading, e-commerce, and operations teams. Oversee product development from ideation to launch.
User Experience (UX) Design: Manage a team of UI/UX designers to create user-friendly experiences across our website and mobile apps.
Stakeholder Management: Work with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for product initiatives. Communicate product strategy and performance metrics.
Data-Driven Decisions: Monitor product metrics, analyze data, and iterate on features to improve engagement, retention, and conversion rates.
Leadership & Team Management: Provide leadership and guidance to the digital product and UI/UX teams. Set goals, expectations, and performance metrics, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
Budget Management: Manage the product budget, including cost control and financial forecasting, to ensure financial success and optimize team capacity and investments.
Supplier & Partner Management: Engage with partners and suppliers on work scheduling, budgeting, prioritization, and delivery planning.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research to identify customer needs and stay informed about industry trends and competitor offerings.

Extensive experience in digital product management, preferably in e-commerce and fast-paced environments
Proven track record of delivering great business and customer outcomes and new digital products using agile methods
Experienced in working with distributed, cross-functional teams
Strong technical background with modern e-commerce tools including analytics (e.g. GA, Firebase), CMS (e.g. Amplience), prototyping and design (e.g. Balsamiq, Figma, Zeplin), user testing (e.g. Hotjar), collaboration and delivery management (e.g. Jira, Confluence)
At least a high-level understanding of modern cloud-based microservices/headless architectures
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience in growing and developing high-performing teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision making.
