We’re looking for an Endoscopy Lead to join our Nursing Team at The Harborne Hospital.

The Harborne Hospital - part of HCA Healthcare UK is a brand new £100million, purpose built 50 bed, multi-speciality private hospital which has opened in Birmingham in January 2024. Located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus, the hospital has the deep clinical infrastructure, equipment and facilities and expert, experienced teams to deliver full clinical pathways across a mix of specialties and sub-specialties at all levels of complexity including Cardiology, Cancer and Complex Surgery. The Harborne Hospital is the 4th NHS partnership within this network, partnering with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust.

What you'll do:

The endoscopy lead will provide clinical leadership to the endoscopy service at the Harborne Hospital, overseeing governance and ensuring clinical effectiveness and productivity. This role is a senior member of the clinical team; providing appropriate clinical guidance and is the subject matter expert in endoscopy for the operational teams.

What you’ll bring:

Extensive endoscopy experience within a Private or NHS Hospital

Previous experience working within a JAG accredited unit will be advantageous

Comprehensive knowledge of the Global Rating Scale and JAG accreditation

Previous experience working within a lead or senior capacity in endoscopy

Knowledge of Audits

Knowledge and experience of Decontamination

Appropriate knowledge of external bodies such as CQC and JAG

Must have analytical skills and be a positive problem solver with excellent communication skills.
