Recovery Practitioner

Location: Liverpool

Salary: GBP24,000 per annum

Job Type: Fixed Term Contract up to 31st March 2025

The Forward Trust are a leading provider of Community Rehabilitation Services across Liverpool. What you will be doing

Working within a community-based setting at The Brink, SHARP and other partners within Liverpool, to proactively engage with and deliver support to drug and alcohol users. This includes delivering brief interventions, psycho-social group, abstinence focused work, structured treatment programmes, interpersonal groups ,1-1 s and wellbeing interventions.

You may be required to manage a small caseload, provide appropriate harm reduction advice and guidance, carry out assessments, and devise care plans. You will signpost clients to the wider treatment system and local support agencies depending on need. You will be imputing client information on to Forward Trust case management systems

What we are looking for

  • A Passion to help people change
  • Experience of working within or knowledge of the substance misuse services
  • Experience carrying out comprehensive assessments, designing and implementing SMART care plans.
  • Experience of delivering structured interventions to service users and experience of facilitating therapeutic groups.
  • Good time management skills and an ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Experience of working with IT applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel
