Principal People are pleased to have partnered with an industry learning manufacturing organisation to recruit a new Health and Safety Manager to the team following an internal promotion.

This person will take responsibility for health and safety across four manufacturing sites around Coventry and the West Midlands.

As part of a larger group company, you role will report to the Operations Director of the business, with close to contact with the Health and Safety Director for the group.

You will be working with management across the sites to manage and promote safety, as well as managing another member of the safety team.

HSE Manager - Up to £50,000 - Manufacturing - Coventry - (phone number removed)

The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for:
  • Overseeing the health and safety improvement plan alongside the Operations Director.
  • Supporting and working with the leadership teams to implement and lead a positive health and safety culture.
  • Line management of one Health and Safety Advisor on a day to day basis and supporting them in their development.
  • Delivering health and safety training to staff at all levels to increase understanding and engagement.
  • Supporting with risk assessments, site audits and accident investigations when required.

To be considered for this role you should have:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification as a minimum.
  • Experience within the Manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • The ability to communicate across all levels within a business and build relationships effectively.
  • A valid UK Driving licence.
