As our senior finance analyst you'll play an integral part in the setting and delivery of business objectives which drive significant revenue and net contribution for the Corporate segment. This is where our high value customers sit. There's so much breadth to this role promising a varied and challenging yet rewarding time.

You'll help us make health happen by:
  • Provide business partner support to senior sales managers and their teams, supporting with MI and commercial decisions on new and existing business to financially safeguard the segment P&L, maximising revenue and contribution wherever possible. Negotiate, challenge and support understanding of management accounting information down to profit level to ensure accountability.
  • Provide insightful and effective support to the Senior Finance Business Partner, including value added reporting and management information with robust commercial modelling. Offer valuable, insightful and forward looking financial challenge and support. Ensure pricing strategy is delivered and make commercial decisions within a pre-designed framework within an agreed commercial budget.
  • Build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders within the business, including Finance, Sales, Marketing and Actuarial through weekly catch-ups and influencing decision making, timelines for change and problem solving.
  • Support the investment activity for the segment, including financial modelling for business cases and benefits tracking. Manage, control and review investment plans ensuring optimised delivery of the 3 year Plan. Support the finance business partner in providing financial modelling and business evaluation of new products and propositions, challenging where appropriate and develop proposals to support the FD.
  • Support planning and forecasting activity of the segment ensuring accurate delivery of 3 year plan. Lead in the setting of strategy to be used in annual targets and initiatives to drive the segment P&L as well as the evaluation of business results versus targets on an ongoing basis whilst also challenging operational expenses.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
  • Newly Qualified accountant (CIMA is desirable) or qualified by experience.
  • Broad commercial finance experience with regards reporting, planning, forecasting, cost control and business partnering.
  • Strong interpersonal, and communication skills. Emphasis on achieving results and successful outcomes through consultation and conciliation whilst equally being confident and robust enough to challenge senior colleagues where appropriate.
  • Flexible, objective and pragmatic. Able to work under pressure.
  • Objective, analytical and lateral thinking with a 'can-do' attitude with the ability to summarise and communicate complicated technical issues to non-finance stakeholders
  • Attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple conflicts of interest.
