Lynx Recruitment is working with a world-renowned automotive company, seeking a talented Controls Software Engineer to join their cutting-edge team in either Cambridge or Thetford, UK.

This is your chance to work on next-generation electronic control units for revolutionary automotive systems.

What you'll be doing:

  • Developing and maintaining software for state-of-the-art automotive systems including active suspension, power closures and active aerodynamics
  • Creating and maintaining reusable library blocks to leverage IP across multiple products
  • Assisting with requirements capture and architecture design
  • Developing and refining controls algorithms and software functions
  • Conducting thorough testing (PIL, SIL, MIL) of software solutions
  • Collaborating with a dynamic, international team split between the UK and Canada

What we're looking for:

  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Control Engineering, or related field
  • Proficiency in Matlab, Simulink, and Stateflow
  • Experience with AutoSAR and Embedded Linux
  • Strong background in embedded software development
  • Understanding of floating point and fixed point arithmetic
  • Experience in MIL and SIL testing

Desirable skills:

  • Familiarity with ISO 26262 and ASIL risk classification
  • Experience with unit testing, SIL testing, and HIL testing
  • Understanding of power electronics and motor controllers
  • Hands-on mechanical experience with vehicles
