Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our team, reporting directly to the Contracts Manager. In this role, you'll oversee subcontractors and ensure that all onsite operations are conducted efficiently, with a strong focus on Health & Safety standards and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Toolbox talks and maintain up-to-date Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Address and facilitate client needs while monitoring the progress of ongoing projects.
- Ensure adherence to Health & Safety regulations and implement best practices on site.
- Supervise subcontractors to guarantee compliance with project schedules.
- Manage daily coordination of subcontractor activities.
- Monitor work quality and maintain accurate recording protocols.
- Provide timely and precise reporting to management regarding any variations in contract works or potential delays impacting efficiency and costs.
- Maintain commercial awareness and engage in value engineering, ensuring quality and safety remain uncompromised.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Proven track record in managing and motivating site teams.
- Relevant qualifications: SMSTS & CSCS certification.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality in all work aspects.
- Experience in managing mechanical and pool installations is advantageous.
- Background in a subcontractor environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety standards and quality assurance practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships.
- Proficient in relevant software applications, including Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as email communications.
