    Job Description

    I am recruiting for a Programme Director - Regulatory Operations with a regulator in the Midlands (6-12 month FTC). The role:

    Strategic Programme Oversight:

  • Develop and lead the implementation of the Operations Improvement Programme.
Define and lead strategic planning and interventions to successfully implement the Operations Improvement Programme, engaging with senior leaders in the programme, the wider organisation and working closely with other functions e.g. Digital and People Services.Provide the Board and Commissioners with regular updates and assurance on the delivery of the strategic Operations Improvement Programme.

Collaboration and Transparency:Work closely with the SRO, CEO, Deputy CEO and Executive Team to foster a culture of collaboration, openness, and transparency.Facilitate cross-functional teams to ensure that the Operations Improvement programme benefits from diverse perspectives and expertise.Engage in regular communication with all stakeholders to ensure that programme goals and progress are clearly understood and supported.

Regulation and Compliance:Ensure compliance with the systems and processes, including the new CMS need to meet the requirements of legislation, and regulations governing the gambling industry.Liaise with industry stakeholders, including operators, consumers, and government bodies, to promote responsible gambling practices.Monitor and report on the performance of the operational division, providing insights and recommendations to the Executive team and the Board.Manage programme risks, escalating via appropriate governance fora and providing assurance to the Executive team, the Audit and Risk Committee and the Board.

The Successful Applicant

You will have:

Proven experience in a senior project leadership role within a public body or similar organisation with recognised and relevant project management qualifications e.g. MPLA/PLP/RPPProven ability to develop and translate strategy into action, setting a clear vision that teams can align behind to deliver.A proven track record of identifying, analysing and communicating with senior leaders, using appropriate channels, to ensure all those impacted by the Programme are engaged, taking account of their levels of influence and interests.Experience of leading service delivery teams through periods of change and uncertainty to enable improved service delivery.Proven experience in strategic planning and programme management to deliver organisational goals and objectives.
