Contract Duration: 11 weeks (with potential for extension)

Hours: 10 hours per day

First Task are delighted to be working with a reputable family-owned building contractor specializing in delivering high-quality retail refurbishment projects across Scotland.We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Manager to join their team for an 11-week contract, starting in Inverness and subsequently moving to Aberdeen.

Role Overview:

As a Site Manager, you will oversee the successful execution of retail refurbishment projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage site operations for retail refurbishment projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Oversee health and safety compliance, ensuring a safe working environment for all site personnel.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure standards are met.
  • Manage site documentation, including progress reports, daily logs, and safety records.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager, preferably in retail refurbishment or construction projects.
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
  • CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • IT literacy
