What you'll be doing;
This is an exciting opportunity to be a highly visible member of the Finance team; you will liaise with senior budget holders in the business. A Key role, providing services directly to the Veolia Executive Committee. The role holder will be accountable or various aspects of the management accounting reporting processes that are undertaken at the Finance Shared Service Centre.
This includes:
Budgets/Forecasts
Monthly Management Accounts
Assisting with quarterly deep dives on Corporate Overhead accounts
Business Partnering
Facilitation of Audits
Documentation of current work processes
In a cross-trained team, the role holder will be involved in the following responsibilities to varying degrees.
What we're looking for;
- Qualification with a recognised UK accounting body e.g ACA, ACCA, CIMA
- Experience of managing and motivating staff
- Good business acumen; ability to understand the workings of a diverse range of business units
- Must be eager to help move the team forwards.
- Committed to delivering within set deadlines
- Willing and able to document, in a detailed way, current work processes
- Demonstrate strong communication skills with all levels of stakeholders
- Must be confident and a self-starter with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment
- Sound technical accounting skills
- Proficient in manipulating and reporting on large volumes of data efficiently
