But it's not just about the food and drink - The Village Pub will be at the heart of the community, where the warmth and passion of our team will make every visit feel like coming home. Our purpose is to be the future of caring and considered hospitality, and this all starts with our People.

We are now recruiting for The Village Pub and seeking for a Senior Sous Chef to support our Head Chef with overseeing what will be a small, close-knit brigade.

As Senior Sous Chef you will need to be a real leader. Having strong people skills to support our Head Chef with the management of a kitchen team with various levels of skills and capabilities. You will be confident with the overall running of the kitchen, from maintaining excellent supplier relationships, managing food costs, planning rotas to understanding health and safety regulations.

The kitchen team at The Village Pub with be small, but dynamic. You will play a vital role in encouraging team members to develop their skills and enrol in training programmes. Can you remember who inspired you to be a chef, can you do this for someone else?


The Village Pub kitchen will be fast paced and energetic, which is what we look for in an individual. Come with enthusiasm, your knives and a bucketful of passion and we can help you develop the rest. Experience as a Sous, within a similar establishment is required.
