The role involves operational management of the finance team and focuses on management accounts and internal reporting, rather than transactional tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong technical financial accounting skills.Day-to-Day of the role:- Oversee the finance team, ensuring effective management of finances and adherence to reporting deadlines.- Provide advanced specialist knowledge of housing finance, company financial requirements, or commercial management accounting as required.- Responsible for financial services including budget preparation, closing of accounts, and preparation of statutory accounts and annual financial statements.- Contribute to strategic management as part of the Senior Management Team and Leadership Forum.- Provide financial information and reports to various stakeholders.- Manage and oversee budgets, ensuring Value for Money and continuous improvement.- Provide leadership and training to the Finance Team, managing priorities and deadlines.Required Skills & Qualifications:- CCAB qualified.- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a financial services environment.- Ability to analyse complex financial problems and implement effective solutions.- Knowledge of budgeting and accounting requirements.- Experience in preparation and monitoring of complex revenue and capital budgets.If you are interested, or have any questions, please let me know.
