    Job Description

    Thanks to a recent transaction, the need for a Director of Finance has arisen in Boston (hybrid role) to lead the accounting and finance team of a medium sized EdTech business.

    Reporting directly to the Group CFO overseas, the Director of Finance will manage all finance operations for North America, with the exciting opportunity to scale a highly effective finance team as the business grows. The successful Director of Finance will also act as a commercial finance business partner to the US operations. This is a hands-on role that blends strategic financial planning with operational management, offering the chance to make a tangible impact on the company's trajectory.

    Main duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Prepare detailed financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, along with KPI tracking, sales pipeline analysis, and reporting for investors and debt partners.
Lead all financial operations for North America, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.Oversee the integration of financial systems and processes to ensure a seamless post-acquisition transition.Develop and execute financial strategies that fuel the growth and profitability of the North American tech business.Collaborate closely with the Group CFO and global finance team to align financial goals with the company's vision.Provide data-driven financial insights to the U.S. leadership team, supporting critical decisions that drive business success.Manage external financial services, with the goal of building and leading a lean, high-performance finance team as the company scales.
