Based in Wrexham, an opportunity has arisen to join a business as their Accounts and Payroll Clerk. As the Accounts and Payroll Clerk you will undertake a variety of tasks such as entering payroll information, calculating wages and making payments.

Performance Objectives

  • Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data into the payroll system, as well as retrieving data when necessary.
  • Ensure employees are paid correctly and on time.
  • Deal with queries and questions regarding payroll from employees and upper management.
  • Prepare and submit reports.
  • Support the Finance Director with any other duties as requested.

Person Specification

  • 5 GCSE A-C including Maths and English.
  • AAT qualified would be desirable or willing to study towards this.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Previous experience of working within payroll would be desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Sage.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Excel.
  • Highly confidential in nature and a team player.
  • Highly numerate and literate.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated and proactive.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to work to strict deadlines.
