Based in HUDDERSFIELD, just 10 minutes from the M62, this business is easily commutable from Halifax, Bradford, Leeds, Rochdale, Oldham, Manchester, Wakefield, Barnsley, Rotherham and Sheffield.

Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer benefits:

  • Renumeration: 46,500 which increases to 48,000 after probation
  • Holiday Entitlement: 33 Days including public holidays
  • Regular day shift although mornings and afternoons may be implemented through busy periods.

Responsibilities of the Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer:

  • Promote and Carry out Preventative Maintenance
  • Ensure all machines are safe and fit for purpose
  • Installation of new machines and equipment
  • Overhaul and upkeep and repair of all plant machines including: PLC controlled equipment, Hydraulics & Pneumatics, CNC machines, pumps, Gearboxes, Valves, Electrical Installation
  • Work with and install single phase / three phase electrical circuits
  • Fault Finding, testing, and the removal or adjustment of existing fittings, fixtures and parts
  • Spec and order parts as required. Where a detailed specification is not provided determine the cause of the fault and then undertake the most cost-effective solution to remedy the defect.

The Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer requirements:

  • A recognised electrical qualification and or approved mechanical apprenticeship or engineering qualification.
  • Must have both electrical and mechanical experience
  • Experience of working on heavy industrial machinery
  • Ability to logically fault find
  • Understanding of pneumatics
  • Able to read and produce mechanical drawings
  • Able to read and produce electrical drawings
