Renewables Wind Senior Consultant

RINA is currently recruiting for a Renewables Wind Senior Consultant to join its office in Brighton within the Consulting Country UK Division.
OverviewRINA is recruiting for a Senior Consultant to join our growing team delivering Technical Advisory services on onshore and offshore wind projects worldwide. As one of the world’s most experienced renewables consultancies, our engineers have worked on over 30GW of wind, solar, BESS and other renewables.
The role will ideally be based in Brighton, UK but other locations will be considered for the right candidate.
If you are an engineer and project manager with a strong understanding of the wind energy sector, either gained in a consultancy environment or by working with contractors or developers, we are looking for you.
Responsibilities
- Managing and delivering wind energy projects for developers and investors, often including hybrid projects with other technologies. Projects range from pre-feasibility and feasibility studies to technical due diligence and construction management.
- Providing technical engineering support to the client at all stages of the project development cycle.
- Provide support to the wind yield team and contribute to the development of wind resource assessment methodologies.
- Preparation, review, and approval of technical and non-technical reports as well as proposals.
- Providing oversight and Quality Assurance of reporting produced by other members of the team.
- Liaison with clients and stakeholders.
- Leading commercial activities such as proposal writing and client presentations.
- Supporting business development and professional excellence activities, including expanding our database of best practice commercial and technical documentation.
- Client facing Project Director roles on large, important assignments.
- STEM Degree / Masters
- Relevant experience working in the sector for a technical consultancy, project developer or IPP. Strong practical knowledge, both technical and commercial, of how renewable energy assets are developed, constructed, operated and financed.
- Project management experience and capability to lead a project team
- Experience in operational reforecasting of wind projects using both monthly operational performance data and detailed SCADA data.
- Experience in pre-construction wind resource assessment including feasibility studies, layout optimisation, yield analysis with non-linear flow models (CFD) and due diligence of third-party analyses.
- Experience of Excel VBA (essential), Python (desirable), WindPRO (desirable), Meteodyn (Desirable), Sift (advantageous).#LI-CB1
