We are looking for a dedicated English subject Teacher, Drama & Performance interest welcome – to work at our Further Education Campus in Acton.  You’ll be working with autistic children in a school environment.

Awarded Ofsted Outstanding in January 2022, Sybil Elgar School offers educational support for children and young people on the autism spectrum between the ages of 4-22. We strive to provide the most suitable support required by our students to assist them with their learning and educational needs, located in Acton, in our host authority of Ealing; Working with children and young adults with special educational needs comes with its challenges, and our valued staff join us knowing that to have made a positive impact on a young person’s learning development is priceless.

Being a Teacher takes courage, patience and commitment . But working with autistic children gives so much more in return.

We need you to be resilient, caring and sensitive towards the needs of autistic children.

We are seeking Teachers with:


• Qualified Teacher Status

• Teaching Experience (SEND/ASD)

• Proven knowledge of the Curriculum and the impact on pupils with autism

• Ability to lead and drive forward the coordination of designated areas of the curriculum across the school

• Passion for working with pupils with complex behaviour needs

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with an ability to lead by example

• Be keen about curriculum innovations and teaching and learning approaches
