This role primarily focuses on supporting children and young people by helping them

overcome barriers to learning. This is achieved through building supportive one-to-one relationships and facilitating small group work.

The key responsibilities include:

o   Building Trusting Relationships: Establishing a rapport with students to understand their individual needs and challenges.

o   Identifying Barriers: Working with students to identify specific barriers to their learning, which may include social, emotional, or academic issues.

o   Providing Support: Offering personalised support through regular one-on-one sessions and small group activities aimed at addressing these barriers.

o   Developing Strategies: implement strategies and interventions that will assist students in overcoming their challenges.

o   Monitoring Progress: Regularly assessing the progress of the students and adjusting support plans as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.

o   Encouraging Positive Behaviours: Promoting positive attitudes towards learning and encouraging behaviours that contribute to a productive learning environment.

o   Liaising with Stakeholders: Communicating effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in the students' education to ensure a holistic approach

to their development.

o   Creating Safe Spaces: Ensuring a safe and supportive environment where students feel comfortable expressing their concerns and working through them.
