About Our Client: Our client, a prestigious company seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their finance team. Job Description: As a Finance Assistant, you will support the finance department in various accounting and administrative tasks. Your role will be integral to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, track expenses, and ensure timely payments. Manage customer invoicing and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Data Entry: Accurately input financial data into accounting systems and maintain organized records.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Expense Management: Review and process employee expense claims in accordance with company policies.
- Month-End Closing: Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Documentation: Maintain and update financial documents, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Support: Provide administrative support to the finance team, including filing, handling correspondence, and managing calendars.
- Communication: Liaise with internal departments and external vendors to resolve financial queries and discrepancies.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Education: A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., AAT, ACCA) are a plus.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero).
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
