Our client have begun a 60 million new build modular hospital project in Bournemouth. This state-of-the-art healthcare facility is set to revolutionize the local healthcare infrastructure and requires a meticulous and experienced Construction Planner to guide the project to successful completion.

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Planner with proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects, specifically under NEC4 contracts. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring the construction program using Microsoft Projects. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the project adheres to deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project schedules and plans using Microsoft Projects.
  • Monitor and update project progress, adjusting schedules as necessary to reflect changes in scope or delays.
  • Ensure all project activities align with NEC4 contractual requirements.
  • Work closely with the project management team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to maintain an accurate and updated program.
  • Provide regular progress reports and forecasts to senior management and project stakeholders.
  • Participate in project meetings and site visits as required.
  • Adapt to the evolving demands of the project, increasing on-site presence as the construction progresses.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Planner on large-scale projects, preferably with modular construction experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of NEC4 contracts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Projects is essential.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Flexibility to transition from part-time to full-time as the project develops.
  • Willingness to adopt a hybrid working model, with increased site presence required as the project progresses.
