Job Title: Senior Project Planner
Location: Dorset (Hybrid)
Salary: £45-55,000 + package
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Planner to join our team and support the planning, coordination, and successful execution of defence programmes.
The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in line with budget requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, aligning with project objectives, milestones, and deadlines.
- Collaborate with the project management team to track progress, update schedules, and forecast project timelines.
- Identify and manage risks, opportunities, and potential bottlenecks in project schedules.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure resource allocation and capacity planning meet project needs.
- Provide regular reports on project status, including progress, variance analysis, and critical path reviews.
- Support the preparation of project plans, bids, and proposals, ensuring accurate planning and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in project planning and reporting.
- Proven experience as a Project Planner, preferably within the defence, aerospace, or other highly regulated industries.
- Proficiency in project planning software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, including risk management, resource planning, and cost control.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Starting salary of between £45-55,000 per annum
