Skillsearch is helping a company on the leading edge of XR find an XR Prototyper/creative technologist to work with them at their studio in East London. This full-time role comes with a salary of up to £60k and excellent benefits.

As an XR Prototyper, you will be part of a design team, working to demonstrate, test and refine ideas for mobile and wearable AR. Projects may range from interactive prototypes running on experimental hardware to mobile apps deployed in the field.

In your first few weeks in this role, you can expect to:

Be part of a design team, working to demonstrate, test and refine ideas for mobile and wearable AR 

Communicate with partner teams during the implementation phase to realise the vision. 

The ideal candidate will have experience working with designers or translating ideas into tangible, working prototypes. Applicants should have the following:

Expertise in Unity 3D, including C# scripting 

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in relevant fields such as Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Computer Science 

A minimum of 3 years of experience working in real-time tools in the industry 

A passion for working on virtual or augmented reality projects.

A little bit about the city: London

London is well-known for its widespread underground system, boasting 11 lines stretching 402km in total. Additionally, the Night Tube, a 24-hour service, is available on Fridays and Saturdays, making getting home after an evening exploring or catching up with friends a breeze. Aside from the Tube, London offers buses, river buses, black cabs, ‘Boris Bikes’ and trams, so getting around the city should never be a problem
