Due to ongoing growth, HMH in Kintore, Aberdeenshire have an exciting new opportunity for a Machine Shop and Fabrication Supervisor to join our existing workshop team.

Main Responsibilities

Oversee CNC Machining and Welding operations ensuring high attention to detail and safetyTake a lead role in risk assessments and tools box talksCo-ordinate activity in consultation with the Mechanical Supervisor and PlannerAct as focal point for all machining and fabrication activityTake leadership responsibility for contractors and visitors within the workshopEnsure timesheets and inspections reports are completed accurately and submitted in a timely mannerLead the implementation, development, maintenance and improvement of CNC and Fabrication procedures and ensure their on-going useEnsure QC checks are executed as and when requiredAdhere to all company quality related policies and proceduresMaintain a clean and tidy workshop and yard areaBe able to operate the forklifts, cranes and vertical lift platforms when trained to do soEnsure adherence to all local waste management policies and proceduresReport and participate in investigation of all unsafe practices and/or behavioursEnsure all maintenance & recertification activities for workshop equipment are implemented and updated accordinglyMonitor workshop activities to ensure all projects are executed efficiently and in line with  HMH quality standardsReport on progress and deviations pertaining to ongoing projectsEnsure resources are appropriately allocatedProvide input to the annual appraisal process for the machine shopMaintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment.Demonstrate unwavering commitment to HMH Values, Compliance, Integrity and HSSE.Skills and Knowledge

Qualified to HNC/NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in relevant mechanical or fabrication disciplinePrevious experience managing CNC/fabrication teamsUnderstanding of CNC machine controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, Mazak, or equivalentHighly organised with ability to prioritise and communicate goals effectivelyStrong oral and written communication skills (English language)
