We are looking for an Accounts Clerk to join our accounts team, focusing on all aspects of accounts payable, receivables, and sales administration. The ideal candidate will be inquisitive, detail-oriented, and have a passion for numbers. This role is perfect for someone who is either studying towards a qualification or an experienced clerk, with a background in retail or fashion industry being advantageous but not essential.
Day to Day of the Role:
Create supplier accounts and beneficiaries in the ERP system and on the Banking portal.Handle all Purchase Ledger activities including invoices, credit notes, payments, posting journals, authorisations, postings, and checking.Process, analyse, and check Duty, Carriage, Warehouse PPD, and claims.Manage credit card processing and reconciliation.Raise occasional Sales Invoices and oversee the automation process for sales receipt payment files.Review employee Expense Claim Forms and check receipts.Update Cashflow payment plans and post Bank transactions.Request supplier statements and perform reconciliations.Generate Aged Accounts Payable Reports and annotate.Add fixed assets to the system and set up prepaid deferral schedules.Keep track of gas meter readings, cleaning services, and waste collection timesheets.Handle Customs Clearance, administration, Deferment account control.Order office stationeries and cover for the purchasing and stock controller.Perform analysis work and administrative tasks as well as other ad hoc duties. Required Skills & Qualifications: AAT studier, Level 2 to 4 Diploma, or BTEC business studies preferred.Basic to intermediate Excel skills.Excellent mathematical and numeracy skills.Methodical and organised approach to work.Good communication skills.Experience with accounting applications.
