Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.Develop and implement financial strategies to support organisational goals and objectives.Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.Monitor financial performance and prepare regular reports for senior management and the board of directors.Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and accounting standards.Manage cash flow, investments, and financial risk effectively.Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function.Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Qualifications:
Full accounting qualification is essential.Proven experience (3 years) in a senior finance role, preferably in the education/public/non-profit sector.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Sound knowledge of financial regulations, reporting standards, and best practices.Strategic thinker with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel.
