Purpose of the role

We are a well-established and growing top 15 firm with a strong reputation for providing a high quality service, with areas of technical expertise in the following areas: Corporate Business, Non-Profit, Pension Funds, Professional Practice and Private Clients.

We are looking for an ambitious manager to join our successful and growing Accounts & Outsourcing team based in Central London. You will be joining a talented team committed to delivering a high-quality service to a varied portfolio of clients.

Reporting to – Sidonie Gauthier, Accounts and Outsourcing senior manager

Responsibilities

  • Preparing FRS 102 and IFRS statutory accounts (standalone and consolidated) mainly for our corporate audit department clients.
  • Reviewing accounts prepared under FRS102 1a and providing feedback to more junior members of the team
  • Ensuring all statutory accounts are prepared to the highest quality.
  • Liaising with both internal and external clients and delivering accounts in a timely manner
  • Providing feedback and training the team on financial reporting as and when required
  • Encouraging the personal development of your team members
  • Communicating downward any significant changes in financial reporting
  • Working with fellow managers in developing the department
  • Profitably building on existing relationships with clients to win more work from them.
  • Full responsibility of monthly WIP and costs on your portfolio

  • Seen by partners and fellow managers as a trusted pair of hands.
  • Taking responsibility for WIP control and billing
  • Meeting all deadlines and seeking challenges
  • Determines and explains roles, sets out expectations and responsibilities, empowers and motivates team members to deliver.

Technical expertise

  • ACA/ACCA/CA qualification essential
  • Significant financial reporting experience (both FRS102 and IFRS) including consolidated accounts experience.
  • Experience in audit being an advantage but not necessary.
  • The ability to research, write and provide professional training to fellow team members.
  • Strong knowledge in CaseWare.

  • Able to gain trust and respect of junior staff and to provide support when needed.
  • Respected by Partners and other Managers for professional judgment and actively sought for opinion.

  • Able to deal with challenging situations and individuals and work on time pressured jobs.
