Finance Co-ordinator, reporting to the Development Director / Group MD.

Permanent role onsite in Erdington, Birmingham B24 9QR. Full-Time 40 Hrs per week.

We are looking for and individual with accounts experience,who can provide relevant, timely and insightful accounting using SAGE software input and administrative support for purchase orders, sales orders and logistics booking. Implement and document new processes for efficiency where required.

Must have UK VAT/Accounting experience

Key duties and

responsibilities:

Working in a busy, fast-paced environment you will support the management team in the running of finance, credit control, administration and chasing where required.

Preparing and sending purchase orders for trade customers and issuing sales invoices by email, post and uploading to web portals, monitoring payments and issuing statements.

Maintain project finance data, reports and VAT returns on a quarterly basis. Credit and stock control

Bank reconciliations

Cashflow and budget reporting

Dealing with accounts queries promptly by telephone and email

Performing credit checks on new buyers and suppliers

Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns

Proficiency in obtaining prices from suppliers, account management, and diary management

Audit support, assist internal and external audits to provide required financial information

General administration duties not contained above

Key requirements & Education

Educated to A Level standard, or equivalent level 3 qualification such as a Level 3 NVQ, having an AAT (level 2,3) qualification or equivalent as the basic would be an advantage in this role.

Experience working in the Finance department / Bookkeeping, financial administration role and/or credit control role

Previous experience in accounting and administration and providing admin support to a Finance or Accounts department with the maturity to largely 'self-manage

Financial problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure, task concurrently to meet tight deadlines and support staff to do the same.

Confident and experienced using Xero accounts package and have a good level of computer literacy, especially MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

Proven ability to plan ahead and anticipate requirements, proactively planning own (and sometimes others workloads) to manage time effectively, progress

Excellent interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write for different audiences, and to required deadlines.

Strong financial awareness and numeracy with demonstrable evidence of financial administration.
