We are now looking for a Finance Administrative Officer: Income Support to join our Carmarthen or Swansea campus on a Full time, Permanent basis, working 37 hours per week.

THE ROLE

This is a key role within the finance department working closely with the Income Team Manager to deliver a high standard of administrative support to students and customers to ensure the timely and successful collection of income.

The role is to support the income team to ensure that students are set up with a student loan or have a payment plan in place as soon after enrolment as possible. 

Your role will also be to give appropriate advice and guidance to students in respect of fee payment options, facilitating payments and supporting students with their fee account queries this could be via telephone, email and in person.

ABOUT YOU

To be considered as a Finance Administrative Officer: Income Support, you will need:

  • Minimum of A-levels, (or equivalent qualifications), or proven relevant work experience and will also have GCSEs with grade A-C in Maths and English
  • Experience in providing customer service or service support
  • Relevant Finance experience
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills & demonstrates respect for a diverse range of people and recognize the importance of building sound working relationships
  • Effective organisational skills and demonstrable attention to detail
  • Effective and relevant IT skills including working knowledge of Excel
  • Able to work as part of a team and in partnership with others
  • Positive approach to learning and development
  • Demonstrates self-motivation and ability to work unsupervised

It would also be beneficial if you have:

  • Ability to communicate at a high level through the medium of Welsh – oral and written
  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent professional experience
  • Knowledge of Student Loan Company and its processes
  • Previous experience providing student support in a Higher Education setting
