Job Description: We are seeking skilled Firedoor Carpenters to join our team for an essential project based at a school in Nottingham. This role involves remediation work and the installation of pre-hung doors, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality. We are looking for either a team of two carpenters or two individual operatives to undertake this critical work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting remediation work on existing fire doors.
  • Installing pre-hung fire doors to strict safety regulations and specifications.
  • Ensuring all installations meet regulatory compliance and school safety standards.
  • Collaborating with site managers and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and project completion.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment at all times.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in fire door installation and remediation.
  • Strong carpentry skills with a focus on precision and detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and fire door compliance standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) is essential.
  • Own tools and PPE.
