Lead Pre-Operations Engineer (Electrical / Instrument bias) - CUMBRIA - up to 60k plus car allowance

Working for one of the UK's foremost construction and infrastructure firms, specialising and delivering some of the nation's most intricate and vital infrastructure projects spanning energy, water, nuclear, highways, rail and aviation sectors for both public and private clients.

Role Purpose

As a Lead Pre-Operations Engineer, you will oversee a team in executing tasks and ensuring compliance with established Start-Up, Commissioning, and Pre-Operations procedures. This entails contributing to the training requirements for future facility users, facilitating successful project handover, as well as monitoring and reporting on progress, with corrective actions as necessary.

While collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, you will also engage regularly with other project teams, external vendors and stakeholders.

Lead Engineers are viewed as the business future Managers and Senior Managers, making this an excellent opportunity for career advancement within a long-term project framework.

Experience and Accountabilities

  • HNC or equivalent Level 4 qualification in a relevant field, along with experience leading or supervising a team in a technical/engineering environment
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Strong leadership abilities
  • Experience in the Nuclear industry or similarly highly regulated environments is advantageous
