We are currently recruiting for an SEO Manager

A key department within Space NK, the marketing department are responsible for creating campaigns that engage current customers and drive new customer acquisition. The department consists of three teams: marketing and events, content marketing and digital marketing.

Role Purpose

The SEO Manager reports into the Senior Content Manager, working closely with Content Marketing team and the wider Marketing department.

The role is responsible for growing organic traffic to our website (in the UK and internally) both from a content, technical and off-site perspective. The SEO Manager will manage the SEO project roadmap; identifying opportunities, managing timelines across the different teams, executing initiatives and measuring and sharing success.

We're looking for somebody passionate and knowledgeable who can communicate effectively and champion SEO internally to engage the wider business and galvanise key teams including Tech, PR, Trading and Digital Content to deliver value to the business and grow Space NK's organic visibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and own the SEO strategy to improve SERP visibility and traffic through organic search Define and lead execution of the SEO roadmap, working closely with UX, Commercial and Digital Content teams to ensure an optimised experience for users and search engine crawlers Work closely with the development team to ensure that technical SEO enhancements are prioritised effectively, mapped and implemented as part of the project roadmap, aligning with the overall SEO strategy Ongoing audit of the Space NK sites (both UK and INT) and overall beauty landscape to determine key initiatives to inform the roadmap Optimise existing on page content in line with SEO best practice Propose and build out new on page content to drive incremental traffic through search Work closely with the editorial team to maximise opportunities within blog content to support the overall SEO strategy Provide evergreen detailed keyword research based on buyer and search intent as well as competitor analysis (linking back to overall strategy and auditing processes) Provide the business with SEO insights and keyword research to inform opportunities, campaign planning and editorial content Analyse SEO performance, combining key onsite and external data points to indicate performance in line with channel KPIs Be the internal SEO expert, staying up-to-date with developments and updates, sharing with the wider business and identifying opportunities to inform and amend the project roadmap Manage the SEO Content Writer, supporting their development within the business Key Skills:

Proven experience of developing, implementing, and measuring a global SEO strategy, preferably in a retail business In-depth understanding of search engines and their ranking factors Proven experience of overseeing the production and optimisation of content to support natural search visibility A clear understanding of technical SEO with an ability to liaise confidently with the development team on relevant initiatives Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to clearly communicate complex SEO themes at all levels of seniority and SEO knowledge A determination to influence across departments to deliver SEO initiatives and projects Excellent use of data to analyse performance and make decisions High attention to detail Excellent multi-tasking, organisational and project management skills A problem-solving approach The ability to prioritise, use initiative and perform under pressure Please note that only successful candidates will be contacted.
