Primary Teacher – Full-time

We are currently recruiting for a Special Educational Needs and Mental Health (SEMH) School in Carshalton who are seeking an experienced Teacher to teach KS1/KS2 students.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in teaching KS1 and KS2 students and a genuine passion for teaching students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.

This is a long-term, full-time role to start as soon as possible and will be with a view to going permanent. The salary will be equal to the main Teachers’ pay scale plus SEN points.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEMH needs
Develop and implement individualised learning plans to support students in their development
Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods to get the best out of each student.
Utilise effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
Support students in developing self-regulation and coping skills.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Experience in teaching Primary aged students
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience working with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
