We are looking for a crucial team member who prides themselves on their organisation, attention to detail, tenacity and determination in order to undertake this varied and interesting role. You will be working with numerous partners both inside and outside the organisation and will part of a strong team with a varied portfolio delivering a broad & exciting range of new-build and refurbishment schemes as well as maintenance of our existing public buildings, schools, housing and heritage projects

Whilst knowledge and experience of the construction industry would be beneficial, more important is the willingness to learn and be flexible in responding to a rapidly changing industry.

Duties:

To Lead members of the Mechanical Engineering Section, Team Leaders and Project Surveyors with a range of technical activities, including CAD plan preparation and assembling Tender and contract documentation.

The preparation of working drawings, including details, Schedules and specifications from preliminary drawings or as directed by senior staff.

Prepare drawings for Mechanical contracts and lead in the supervision of these works on site.

To design, specify and supervise Mechanical projects and/or organise and control the use of external consultants/contractors to do the same.

The preparation of annual maintenance work programmes, procurement, project monitoring and implementation of schemes.

Processing/managing requests for repairs and placing orders for remedial work.
