Cobb & Jones Recruitment are working exclusively with a highly successful, dynamic SME business whose Head Office is located in East Kent.Due to a period of growth, this ambitious business is looking to appoint a Head of Finance with a long-term career path to Director level.

Key duties for this role -
  • Leading the finance function, acting as key point of contact to the wider business
  • Ensure statutory returns are correctly filed for VAT, PAYE, CIS.
  • Overseeing cash flow reporting, bank account management and control of cash
  • Provide accurate financial reports and ensure compliance with rigorous controls
  • Provide information for monthly board meetings
  • Managing the year-end process, ensuring the timely production of statutory accounts and supporting documents
  • Adopting a continuous improvement approach and be proactive in approach
  • Managing relationships with external contacts such as year-end auditors, the bank, insurers and HMRC
  • Long-term recruitment of team members and development and mentoring of team members
  • The ideal candidate will have experience doing WIP calculations
    Candidates will be ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or QBE
  • The ideal candidate will a keen eye for detail and excellent organisation skills
