The Commercial Services Manager UK & Ireland for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives aimed at accelerating growth.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify new opportunities and understand the competitive landscape.
  • Revenue Management: Support revenue growth through the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies.
  • Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, government agencies, and private sector partners.
  • Contract Management: Oversee the negotiation and management of contracts with clients and suppliers.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure the financial health of the business.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the commercial team to achieve business objectives.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all commercial activities comply with relevant regulations and manage risks appropriately.

This position is part of the Customer Operations Department which will require travel to customer sites and our office in Amersham, Bucks including field support as required coaching your team and engaging with customers. You should therefore live within reasonable travel distance of Amersham. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Commercial Department and report to the Senior Manager Customer Operations responsible for developing and executing a commercial strategy that supports Beckman Coulterâs growth plans, including delivery of an excellent customer experience, optimal deployment of all commercial processes, with a highly engaged and high functioning team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Shape Beckman Coulterâs commercial product offering
  • Work alongside the NHS and impact on patient care in Hospitals and the community
  • Inspire and engage a successful team
  • Implement new tools, processes and techniques that improve commercial deliverables
  • Build strategies to retain existing customers and win new Pathology networks

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • >5 yearsâ experience leading in commercial services environment, with direct people reports
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to drive business growth and improve profitability.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance requirements in the UK and Ireland

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Managed service contract delivery
  • Public procurement legislation
