Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a qualified teacher with significant experience teaching Key Stage 2 (KS2).
  • Have a strong understanding and passion for PSHE education, with the ability to lead and develop the PSHE curriculum across the school.
  • Demonstrate a creative and flexible approach to teaching, with the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Be committed to the school's mission of improvement and innovation, with a proactive attitude towards contributing to school development.
  • Show enthusiasm for professional growth and be willing to engage in ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Have strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and coordinate PSHE initiatives effectively.


Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons for KS2, ensuring all students are engaged and making progress.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the PSHE curriculum, ensuring it is comprehensive, inclusive, and aligned with the school's values and goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate creative and innovative teaching methods across the curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Participate actively in the school's mission to improve, contributing to staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to align PSHE initiatives with the overall school improvement plan.
