The job itself

A young person in Cottingham is looking for a direct payment worker.

They are kind, interesting and helpful and are looking for a buddy they can relate to and talk about their interests with. Someone with an enthusiasm for life and an interest in learning about the things this young person enjoys.

The young person loves mycology (finding and learning about mushrooms.) They like playing Minecraft, doing crochet, and going for coffee in quiet cafes, amongst other activities.

They have autism and manage various types of pain daily. They need a bit of support to get out and about and access activities that they enjoy. It is important that the worker understands that there might be days where they need to go somewhere quiet and engage in gentle activities if they are experiencing a lot of pain. They don't like noisy, busy places.

The role is for 3 hours in term time and 5 hours in the holidays.
