**Location**: Optima Clinics, Cottingham, Hull

**Part-Time**: (16-22 hours per week)

**Role Overview**:
As a Medical Receptionist at Optima Clinics, you will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment for our patients. Your main responsibilities will include meeting and greeting patients, assisting with administrative tasks, and ensuring a seamless patient experience from their first interaction with our clinic.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the clinic, providing a warm and friendly first impression.
- Effectively manage the patient check-in process, ensuring accurate documentation and information collection.
- Assess patient forms to understand their needs and medical requirements, ensuring all necessary information is obtained.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to schedule patient appointments, considering any accessibility requirements or preferences.
- Liaise with General Practitioners (GPs) and external parties to arrange referrals and obtain medical records when necessary.
- Provide clear and accurate information to patients about clinic services, procedures, and appointments.
- Handle incoming phone calls and inquiries, addressing patient queries and directing calls to the appropriate departments.
- Maintain the reception area's cleanliness and organisation, creating a comfortable and inviting space for patients.
- Provide efficient secretarial support to assigned consultants and GPs.
- Liaise with patients, handling queries, and facilitating appointments professionally and courteously.
- Interact with insurance companies and external agencies as required.
- Produce clinic letters, operation notes, and other correspondence promptly.
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing and payment tracking for insured and self-pay patients.
- Arrange completion of claim forms with relevant consultants and maintain updated financial paperwork.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, appointment scheduling, and maintaining patient records.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- Adhere to Optima Clinics' policies and procedures, including equality and diversity considerations in all interactions.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a receptionist, preferably in a healthcare or medical environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a warm and friendly demeanour.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail.
- Sensitivity to patient needs and a commitment to providing a positive patient experience.
- Possession of a valid DBS check.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £11.00-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 22 per week
