Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a renewables business in St Louis, MO. The CFO will play a crucial role in driving financial strategy and ensuring the financial health and stability of the company. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position offers an exciting opportunity to lead financial operations in a rapidly growing and evolving industry. Main duties and responsibilities include the following:

Financial Strategy: Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company goals and objectives. Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and senior management team.Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes. Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement or risk mitigation.Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP standards. Prepare financial statements, management reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.Risk Management: Assess and manage financial risks, including market, credit, and operational risks. Implement strategies to safeguard the company's financial assets.Cash Flow Management: Optimize cash flow and working capital management. Develop and maintain effective cash flow forecasting processes.Capital Management: Manage capital structure and financing activities. Evaluate investment opportunities and make recommendations to maximize returns.Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and financial laws. Implement and maintain robust internal controls and procedures.

The Successful Applicant

In return for a competitive remuneration package, the successful candidate will possess the following:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA or CPA preferred but not essential.Proven experience (10+ years) in financial leadership roles, preferably in the renewables or energy sector.Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Experience of working with Smartsheet (non-negotiable).
