The college is seeking to employ an enthusiastic and highly motivated Teacher of English to cover maternity leave. We are looking for a teacher with the skills, expertise and passion to join our team of dedicated staff to provide an inspiring and supportive learning environment to encourage every student to realise their full potential.

Who are we looking for?

You will be committed to ensuring students make their very best progress, through planning and delivering engaging lessons that will inspire our learners to succeed. You will support, challenge, and engage a diverse cohort of students, enriching their learning experience, maximising their potential and raising attainment. This post is equally suitable for experienced teachers and newly qualified teachers with talent and a drive for promoting English across the school.

Who are we?

The City of Leicester College is a thriving multi-cultural 11-19 college, with 1750+ students on roll, which includes a highly successful sixth form of 350+. Whilst we are the largest school in the city, we maintain a distinct identity and prioritise the health and wellbeing of our staff and students alike. In recent years, we have made huge changes to ensure that ambition sits at the heart of everything we do. The changes we have made to curriculum, behaviour and personal development programs have seen us deliver the best exam results we have ever had by some considerable margin.
