A leading Special School in Stratford, with dedicated sites for PMLD and autism spectrum conditions (ASC), is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic PMLD Teaching Assistant to join their exceptional team. Our school is home to fantastic, vibrant, and incredibly talented students, and we're looking for someone who can help them achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to students with PMLD, assisting with their learning and personal development. Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and activities. Assist with personal care and mobility needs, ensuring the well-being of students at all times. Support students in building communication, sensory, and life skills. Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech and language therapists and occupational therapists, to deliver a holistic approach to learning.

Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience working as a PMLD Teaching Assistant, preferably within a special school setting. Strong understanding of PMLD and autism spectrum conditions. A compassionate, patient, and positive approach to supporting students with complex needs. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
