Main purpose of the role & responsibilities in the business:

As Product Financial Operations Analyst at Kainos, you will support the Product Leadership Team in the management of the day-to-day operational processes within the Product Business Unit. This will support the management team including revenue operations, revenue and staff forecasting, staff allocation and recruitment forecasting, month-end closure, profitability, KPI analysis and working capital.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the Product Leadership Team in the development and continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic operational and financial objectives
  • Accountability of Product BU compensation including the calculation of monthly bonuses, design/updating of current/new bonuses schemes, and process improvement.
  • Accountability for the creation of the Product budget/forecasts and ensure costs remain in line with the budget and overall scale of the business throughout the year
  • Reviewing sales pipeline and ensuring that revenue profiling and forecasting is accurate
  • Providing operational process support including revenue and staff forecasting, staff allocation, recruitment, and profitability.
  • Providing analysis of Product P&L's and raising appropriate queries and corrective actions with the management team to rectify issues.
  • Providing analysis on Product KPI data and present findings to the Product Leadership.
  • Enforcing compliance of the month end closure process including timesheet submission, invoicing, and debt collection.
  • Supporting the Product Leadership in the commercial review process, including updates and process improvements.
  • Supporting the Product Leadership team in liaising with Central Teams within the business
  • Supporting continuous improvement and refinement of operational processes and communicating and presenting these processes to the wider BU.
  • Sharing and promoting operational and commercial best practice across the BU.

    Minimum (Essential) requirements:
    • Qualified accountant (CA, ACA, CIMA, ACCA etc) or equivalent relevant experience
    • Advanced excel and modelling skills
    • Strong commercial awareness within a professional services environment
    • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to understand and interpret data
    • Demonstrable ability to develop relations across different parts of the business
    • Willingness to learn new things and an ability and desire to drive initiatives forward
    • Excellent communication skills with an affable and credible persona.
    • Ability to work under own initiative
    • An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
    • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
    • Good team player
    • A positive "can do" attitude towards the commercial, technical, and staffing challenges facing Kainos.
    • Highly flexible, including a willingness to travel offsite including all Kainos offices as and when required.
