Position: Senior Automation Tester

Suitable for: Automation Tester with experience of Playwright, Typescript, Appium and Java, web and mobile testing

Location: Homebased with the expectation to attend Graphnet Group office sites (Milton Keynes or Great Bookham) at least once per month, or as and when required for team collaboration days

Salary: to GBP65k + bens

Our client, a leading software provider of integration health solutions, is looking for a Senior Automation Tester to join their QA team.

The ideal profile for the Senior Automation Tester will have over 5 years hands-on expertise in automation-oriented roles, specifically in web and mobile application testing. You should also substantial experience using Playwright (with Typescript) for web automation and Appium (with Java) for mobile automation.

The Senior Automation Tester requires a strong understanding of automation testing frameworks, best practices and methodologies to ensure high quality software delivery.

Essential:

  • Min 5+ years experience as a Senior Automation Tester, Automation Test Analyst Test Automation Engineer or similar
  • Min 4 years experience in Playwright / Cypress based automation testing using Typescript
  • Min 3 years experience in Appium based automation using Java
  • Experience in defining and automation system integration, system (regression) and E2E test cases
  • Experience of front-end UI and back end (API and DB) automation
  • Good understanding of VMS Visual Studio code / JetBrains Aqua IDEs
  • Experience of testing applications with MySQL backend
  • Experience of working with structured data (understanding of XML, JSON etc)
  • Experience of CI tools such as Azure DevOps
  • Experience of creating and modifying test data
  • Performing occasional manual testing (functional, non-functional)
  • Good root cause analysis and collaboration skills
  • Experience in design, implementation and execution of non-functional testing (ie load, performance, volume, stress, failover and scalability tests) using Grafana K6
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure tech stack

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of healthcare systems

The Role:

The Automation Tester will be responsible for co-ordinating, planning and executing comprehensive automation testing strategies across various projects, including both on premise and Azure based environments.
