We are looking for a committed and inspirational Geography teacher to join our Humanities Team from September 2024.

 

The Geography Team is collaborative and all teachers are expected to have an in-depth understanding of the topics taught across Key stages 3 to 5. Our core purpose is to fully engage all our students and ignite their curiosity and determination so they can achieve their full potential.

 

Staff have a wealth of experiences and interests, which bring many dimensions to the provision of excellent lessons as well as skills and support for a new colleague We have enjoyed excellent results at both GCSE and A-level and Key Stage 3 proves a popular launchpad for strong progress and uptake in History. Enabling students into Higher Education with confidence is a strength. A healthy approach to broader, innovative ways to enhance learning is encouraged, and trips and out of class enrichment activities add to this.

 

We welcome applications from creative and dynamic teachers who can contribute to this vision. Although the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of excellent teaching and learning, we also welcome applications from ECTs.

For the right candidate, there is a potential TLR 2b for Head of Year which can be included with this (please see other job post for the role and responsibilities for this).


Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys is an expanding and rapidly improving selective grammar school. It is undergoing a period of transformational change benefitting from a multi-million pound investment in Tunbridge Wells and a brand new building at our Sevenoaks campus, which opened in September 2021.
