As an Area Sales Manager, you will execute effective strategies and tactics to support our vision to be the industry leader in Variable Speed Drives within the UK & Ireland.

To be successful in this role you will identify new business opportunities within the sales territory, use existing databases, and own prospecting to grow sales.
You will be required to develop, implement, and update a customer-centric business action plan, aimed at growing sales.
You will be required to liaise with colleagues in Business Development, Inside Sales, and Applications to maximise opportunities and improve customer satisfaction & retention.
You will contribute to the design, production, and effective delivery of high-quality sales presentations and proposals, this will span from engineering to board level for prospective customers in accordance with agreed guidelines.
You will be required to build awareness of market trends, competitor products/activity, and influence in the area to achieve ambitious sales growth.
This role requires you to plan and prepare monthly presentations for sales meetings, and to report business and forecast data.
You will ensure that all sales activity is conducted in accordance with Control Techniques’ and Nidec’s business ethics and trade compliance rules.


Travel Requirements

Regular travel within UK – primarily within sales territory.
Occasional travel within the EMEA region for meetings/training.

Professional qualification in Electrical / Mechatronic / Mechanical Engineering.
Strong commercial background in industrial products.
Experience working successfully within a performance measured CRM based sales environment
