Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to support an Urgent Treatment Centre in Birmingham, on a long-term locum basis. The successful candidate will be able to perform all general duties expected of a HCA, undergoing health checks and caring for patients. Required: - HCA experience working within a UK UTC or A&E - Experience treating patients of all ages (paediatric & adults) Applicants without these requirements will not be considered. Location: Birmingham Contract: Locum | Full-Time or Part-Time | Adhoc bookings Shift Times: 8am - 2pm/8am - 1pm | 2pm - 8pm/1pm - 6pm | 6pm - 11pm Days: Mon - Sun Pay (LTD Options available): Days: £14.84 PAYE Inclusive p/h Night: £16.18 PAYE Inclusive p/h Duties: Take and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, O₂ saturation, respirations). Perform ECGs , urinalysis , and blood glucose tests . Assist clinicians with minor injury and illness assessments . Chaperone patients during examinations or procedures. Prepare and maintain clinical rooms and equipment , ensuring infection control standards. Carry out wound care , simple dressings, and removal of sutures or clips (if trained). Collect and label specimens for lab testing. Support patient mobility, comfort, and communication needs. Update electronic patient records accurately Assist with stock control and ordering of clinical supplies . Work as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient patient flow.
