For over thirty years, Prosim has been one of the leading innovators and providers of electromechanical simulators for testing the wear of orthopaedic implants, taking an active role in the establishment of testing standards, through its involvement with ISO and ASTM, and designing and manufacturing simulators to accommodate those requirements.

 

Prosim are now expanding their portfolio into mechanical wear, materials testing and orthopaedic biomechanical research and are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Technical Business Development Manager to join our team in the Northwest covering mechanical wear, materials testing, and orthopaedic biomechanical research simulators. In this role, you will have the responsibility of driving the business forward bringing in new business from the UK, Europe and USA. Your key responsibilities will involve bringing in new business, implementing effective strategies and providing guidance to clients to maximise overall sales effectiveness.

Your duties in this role will include:

  • Uncover Opportunities:  Generate, identify, and qualify sales leads, focusing on the UK, Europe and USA
  • Demonstrate Excellence:  Conduct compelling product demonstrations and technical presentations, showcasing the benefits and customer value of Prosim’s highly differentiated products
  • Craft Solutions:  Develop and implement a proactive territory management plan that ensures meeting plans are achieved, and sales objectives are met or exceeded, including a strategy to proactively increase market share within specific industries and applications
  • Build Relationships:  Cultivate strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional support and promptly addressing inquiries or concerns
  • Stay Ahead:  Stay up to date with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify potential sales opportunities.
  • Travel:  Travel within the UK, Europe and USA to visit customers, attend trade shows, and represent Prosim at industry events

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 - 4 years' prior industry related business development experience specifically public sector and academia sales understanding procurement processes, bidding and RFQ responses
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
  • Focused and goal-oriented
  • Technical ability to demonstrate the equipment in use
