Position Overview: The Director of Business Development will be responsible for expanding the firm’s investor base across the DACH region, focusing on institutional clients, family offices, private banks, and intermediaries. This role will involve identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving capital-raising efforts for a diverse range of investment strategies, including equities, fixed income, and alternatives.
Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to raise capital from institutional investors, family offices, and wealth managers across the DACH region.
Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers at pension funds, insurance companies, private banks, and other institutional clients.
Promote the firm’s investment solutions to new and existing clients, tailoring product offerings to their specific needs.
Collaborate with internal teams, including investment and marketing professionals, to deliver customized presentations and proposals.
Stay updated on market trends, investor preferences, and regulatory developments in the DACH region to continually enhance the firm’s value proposition.
Represent the firm at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events within the region.
Report directly to senior management, providing feedback on market developments, client needs, and business opportunities.
Proven success in business development, sales, or capital raising within the asset management or alternative investments sectors.
Extensive network of institutional investors, family offices, private banks, and intermediaries in the DACH region.
Fluent German language skills are essential, both spoken and written, in addition to fluency in English.
Strong understanding of financial markets and investment products, particularly in equities, fixed income, and alternative asset classes.
